Orange County, New York held its September 11th Patriot Day ceremony at the Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Tuesday. Honor guards from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, New York guided the procession along the Remembrance Walkway flanked into the ceremony. Legislator Jim O’Donnell served as the keynote speaker at the ceremony. O’Donnell worked for the State Police from 1974 to 1997, retiring with the rank of Lt. Col. He went on to serve as the Chief of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department and was on duty during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We will never forget.
